Regret

If I keep looking back at my life with regret I will miss all the lessons I'm suppose to get It's hard to own up and take accountability I see why people get depressed, yes I see It takes strength and lots of will power I don't want to keep waking up and reminiscing about my past in such a depressing way Yes I dropped the ball on many opportunities I must say I also saw that I always did my own thing all the way Looking back I can say I wish I had done this, I wish I had done that Was it my best? It's really hard to say I know what I know now and so it's hard to relate To the woman I once was, the one who couldn't stop and say : Thank you God! Thank you God, I'm grateful today! One thing that was constant is I always looked back Even now I'm writing this looking back That fear that I missed all my opportunities and what will come of me How long am I going to miss the lessons I need to see Clearly looking back does no good - no good I see It's truly is about just being totally me It truly is learning and living and not having regrets Regrets can cripple someone and send them into inception Why look back and question That idea that we only have one life to live Could it be just that we haven't tapped into all that we can give We are roaming the earth like we are the aliens that live We are roaming the earth like clueless powerful beings trying to live In a dome of lies confusion and complete disarray We are all living in regret looking back wishing on what we could of done - all that we did I no longer want to wake and keep thinking of a life I could've lived What respect am I showing to the life I have now Missing all my blessings that I have right now Missing all the struggles I got through somehow Missing all the opportunities I have right now It takes a whole lot of woman in me and a whole lot of determination To look back and have no questions To stop looking back and seeing my life as a tragedy When the tragedy that really exists and can come to be Is me missing out on my life , the life I have that I clearly need to see Thinking of the opportunities I missed thinking of the life I had It's time to stop feeling sad Lessons are made to gather and to get Maybe It's time to stop having regret!

Letting Go

Letting Go There was a time I believed holding on was a sign of love. So I held on... To people who had already left. To words that were never spoken. To dreams that no longer belonged to me. To the hope that one more day, one more chance, one more conversation might change everything. But love was never meant to feel like pleading. Peace was never meant to depend on someone else's choice. So today... I loosen my grip. Not because my heart never cared. But because it deserves to heal. I release the questions that have no answers. I release the future I imagined. I release the weight I was never meant to carry. What was meant for me will never require me to abandon myself. What God has prepared for me will never ask me to chase what is already walking away. So I choose peace. I choose faith. I choose tomorrow. And with grateful hands... I let go.

Finally Seen

Finally Seen For years, I searched for myself in places I was never meant to live. In the approval of others. In expectations that were never mine. In the hope that if I loved enough, gave enough, became enough... someone would finally see me. But all that time... God already did. He saw the woman hidden beneath fear. Beneath regret. Beneath the need to prove her worth. He never asked me to become someone else. Only to become who He created me to be. So today, I no longer shrink to fit inside someone else's comfort. I no longer apologize for taking up the space He lovingly prepared for me. I stand... not because I have no scars, but because they no longer define me. I smile... not because life has been easy, but because grace has carried me through every season. I am no longer waiting for permission to be seen. I simply choose to shine as the woman God has always seen. And for the very first time... I see her too.
